 n"Leonor Silveira plays a wealthy\, devout woman who lives on a lavish coun
 try estate and spends her time fretting that she has never been visited by 
 the Virgin Mary. (?Why would she appear to those shepherds at Fatima and no
 t me??). One of her hired hands\, an ex-forger\, decides to help. This magn
 ificent Oliveira opus features the master?s usual wry philosophizing\, impi
 sh satire\, and limpid photography. The ending just might take your breath 
 away"\n\nWe can meet at the entrance of the Cinematheque 10 to 5 minutes be
 fore the movie. After the movie we can go to the Museum Cafe and talk for a
