Last Years Carnaval Sold Out The Cleveland Brazil Carnaval has a 5 year history of bringing together Brazilians and people from all over the world as one to experience this electrifying once a year event!! The Cleveland Brazil Carnaval has developed the reputation as being one of the largest and most authentic Carnaval celebrations in The Great Lakes Area. We have had thousands of attendees in the past years... You also have to be part of it this year! This year, we will present a Spectacular Samba Show featuring dancers in glittering costumes adorned in sequins, beads and feathers accompanied by percussionists playing the authentic Batucada rhythms of Rio de Janeiro & Bahia. All of you will dance non-stop to the pulsating rhythms of SAMBA, BATUCADA, MARCHA, AXE MUSIC, FORRO, MARACATU, SAMBA-REGGAE, and CARNAVAL ELECTRICO as they are taken on a "Carnaval Tour" of Brazil. Oi! Em nosso ultimo meetup, alguem falou da ideia de fazer algo no Sunset Lounge. Acho que seria legal ir lah, tomar umas caipirinhas ou uma coca-cola se voce nao toma alcohol. A gente pode falar um pouco e se divertir. O ultimo meetup foi muito legal e seria otimo se mais pessoas consiguessen assistir as proximas reunioes. Decidi comecar o meetup as 6:30 p.m. porque o happy hour acaba as 7:00p.m. Oi! In the last meetup, someone proposed doing something at Sunset Lounge. I think it would be nice to go there, have some caipirinhas or a coke if you don't drink alcohol. We can talk for a bit and have some fun. The last meetup was nice and it would be even better if more people could make it to the next meetings. I decided to start the meetup at 6:30 p.m because happy hour ends at 7:00 p.m. Espero ver mais pessoas lah! bora formar um grupinho legal! Abracao! Jose

Oi! Acabei de encontrar informacao sobre filmes portuguesses na Cinemateca do Instituto de Arte de Cleveland. Eu ainda tenho problemas pra entender o sotaque do Portugal, mas acho que vai ser interesante. I just found out some information about Portuguese films at the Cinematheque of the Cleveland Institute of Art. I still have trouble understanding the accent from Portugal, but I think it would be interesting. O nome do filme e "Espelho Magico"
"Leonor Silveira plays a wealthy, devout woman who lives on a lavish country estate and spends her time fretting that she has never been visited by the Virgin Mary. (?Why would she appear to those shepherds at Fatima and not me??). One of her hired hands, an ex-forger, decides to help. The ending just might take your breath away" We can meet at the entrance of the Cinematheque 10 to 5 minutes before the movie. After the movie we can go to the Museum Cafe and talk for a bit. I would like to plan on some other activities such as watching Brazilian and Portuguese movies. I have a lits of some good portuguese-language movies. We could also organize meals at some restaurants, such as Brasa Grill or other places you might suggest. I want to make this group as dynamic as possible! so, every suggestion is welcome... food, movies, parties, cultural events, etc
